The Benefits of Cholesterol
  • Carries vitamins through the blood stream and into the tissues.
  • Allows the brain to form nerve synapses. Lack of synapse formation leads to brain dysfunction, brain fog, memory issues, and much more.
  • Cholesterol produces sex steroid hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, all are essential.
  • Cholesterol helps fight infections (virus and bacterial).
  • It is essential to form Vitamin D.
  • Low levels can contribute to muscle loss and weakness
  • Cholesterol forms the nutrient CoQ10 which is necessary for the body to produce energy.

Many doctors are focused on evaluating and lowering cholesterol through chemical means.  It has been shown that lowering cholesterol has not worked to reduce death through heart disease. Statins are the most common drug that doctors use to lower cholesterol, however, Statins have the following effects:

  • muscle loss
  • muscle pain
  • nutritional deficiencies
  • liver damage

Try this more sensible approach:

  • a diet devoid of refined carbohydrates
  • consume whole type of foods
  • get on a regular exercise program
  • get your daily dose of Vitamin D
